Fashion here is outrageous. There's NO norm; everyone wears just what they want to wear and no one bats an eyelash about it. There are people dressed to the nines in all designers while others are in a whole outfit that cost no more than 3 pounds. There's punk, victorian, gothic, preppy, EVERYTHING. Camden Market exemplified that. It's located near Little Venice and runs on the weekends. It's essentially 4 or 5 blocks of street that get taken over with stalls and other stands that can be quickly taken down and set up again. A lot of them are cloths where you can get two shirts or dresses for 15 pounds, while others are produce and other food items. Amanda and I both did really well today. She got a scarf and a top while I got a dress, a blouse, and a scarf. We spent less than 20 pounds for all of it, so it was a bargain.
After Camden we went down to Covent Garden with our friends Sarah and Tiana and went on a hunt for more scarves. We saw a guy who was legitimately Johnny Depp's doppleganger and a few other street performers who were entertaining to watch.
We came back to the flat and then went on our evening excursion for dinner. Dinner is always problematic if we go out; no restaurant has room for 23 people. We ended up splitting up, but Megan, Amanda, Tiana, and I all went to The Prince of Wales Pub for fish and chips! It was so good, I can't even tell you. Good for you, not so much, but that's what all our walking is for,
right?
Now we're all in for the evening and doing this that and the other thing. After going out for the past few nights, I think we're going to lay low and just chat around here. Two pounds says I'm the first one asleep, as per usual. Any takers?
